About Butterfly Valves

Our TEKO industry butterfly Valve is a general purpose valve type used in large diameter pipes. They are typically used for basic shutoff service, but can also be effectively used to throttle flow. They are operated with a simple 90-degree turn (quarter-turn) of a disc shaped obstructer. This disc has a slim profile around which flow passes when parallel to flow, but stops the flow in the when rotated 90 degrees to fill the entire opening of the valve

• Available in sizes from 2" thru 60"
• Two flanged butterfly valve holes for sizes up to 12" and four flanged locating holes for sizes 14" - 24" - allows for easy alignment during valve installation.
• Meets ANSI 125/150# standards
• Precision machined radius on upper disc and lower disc hubs; valve is pressed against upper and lower seats causing seats to seal - primarily seals between disc and seat
• Heavy duty seat design with molded O-ring seals serve as flanged gasket
• Suitable for drinking water and nonalcoholic liquids and foods
• Stem connection available in standard sizes or optional sizes to match standard secondary top plate drilling.
• Standard ISO 5211 top flange dimensions for customer change the actuator on site.
• Precision machined radius on the upper and lower disc hubs on this Butterfly Valve is pressed against upper and lower seat sealing faces for achieving primary sealing between disc and seat.
• Phenolic bonded rubber seat for noncollapsible, stretch resistant, and blow-out proof design.
